How To Cook With Steam....
I believe that vegetables should be vapor cooked. Cooking them in water, they would lose a lot of their nutritious qualities.
I use our "Couscousière".
- On the bottom part is the pot, where you put water to boil.
- The vapor generated goes through the holes of the collander sitting on the pot to vapor cook whatever you wish.
- Keep the colander with the lid on so as not to lose heat and vapor.
I also use the Chinese Wok where the water boils, and the Bamboo, two tier steam cooker sitting on its surface when I have various ingredients I want to vapor cook.
