Chewy Tahini Squares...Different Cookie!
Until now, people unfamiliar with Tahini may not know that it can also be used as a sweet. In one of my posts I have written about how to made a Tahini dip, or having plain Tahini and honey or jam on toast in the morning for breakfast, well this time I am using Tahini as an ingredient to make a sweet....
Ingredients:
Makes 35 pieces.
- 300 gr plain Tahini.
- 12 ml cold water.
- 90 gr Muscovado sugar.

Top Muscovado, Left Dark Brown, Right Light Brown.
- 80 gr powdered sugar.
- 50 gr self rising flour.
- 2 whole medium eggs.
- 1 tsp. baking soda.
- 2 Tbsp. honey.
- 2 tsp. liquid vanilla extract.
- ½ tsp. salt.
- 80 gr toasted sesame seeds.
Method:
- Preheat convection oven to 175 degrees C using air.
- Mix well using the flat beater, all the above.
- Spread thick mixture on a baking paper dressed cookie sheet.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Take out from oven and let cool completely.
- Cut into bite size squares.
